Sinigang is a sour soup kown in the Philippines. Fish is a healthy food and believes to bring good fortune.

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo of fish

8 cups of water, depends on your preference
- 2 pieces taro gabi, quartered
- 1 piece onion sliced
- 2 pieces tomato quartered
- 1 small size ginger sliced
- 1 stalk lemon grass tie into knot
- 2 medium size eggplant sliced diagonally
- 1 labanos, sliced diagonally
- 1 sachet Tamarind Sinigang mix
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 14 pieces of string beans, cut in 2 inches length
- 3 pieces sili
- 1 bunch spinach or kang-kong
Procedure:
- Pour the water and bring to a boil
- Add the taro, onions, tomatoes, ginger and lemon grass for 15 minutes.
- Add the eggplants, and labanos for 5 minutes.
- Put-in the sinigang mix and fish saucefor 5 minutes.
- Add the fish and string beans. Simmer for 5 minutes or 10 minutes.
- Put-in the spinach and sili, turn off the heat, and cover the pot. Let the spinach cook using the remaining heat in the pot.
- Serve hot. Share and enjoy!
