This tasty fried fish recipe is made with a basic combination of flour and seasonings. It is the flesh of the fish which has been cut or sliced away form the bone by cutting lengthwise along one side of the fish parallel to the backbone. It is a perfect combination with it's rich and creamy tartar sauce that the family will surely love.
Ingredients
(For Fish Fillet)
1 pound fish fillet, Tilapia or Tuna Belly.
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon paprika powder
salt
pepper
oil
(For Tartar Sauce)
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoon white onion finely minced
2 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions For Fish Fillet
Gather all ingredients.
Pour 1 inch of oil into a frying pan and heat over the medium-high heat to 375 F.
Combine the flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and deep plate and mix together.
Dip a fish fillet or two into the flour mixture. Make sure they are completely coated on all side and gently shake off any excess. Repeat with the remaining fillets.
Fry the fish in the hot oil for about five minutes (5) on each side, or until golden brown, crispy, and cooked through. Remove and set on a cooling rack to let drain or a platter lined with newspaper or paper towel.
Serve with tartar sauce and enjoy
Instructions for Tartar Sauce.
Combine mayonnaise and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix well.
Whisk in the sweet pickle relish and onion.
Add salt and pepper and then continue whisking until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Cover and then chill in the fridge for a couple of hours.
